¡Bienvenidos! Welcome!
About Me:
Hello and welcome to Mr. Halbur’s Spanish class! The upcoming 2016-2017 school year will be my first year teaching, and I am thrilled to begin my career in Mankato, a great community and my hometown. I completed my undergraduate degree this past spring at Minnesota State University, Mankato with a degree in Spanish Education. Having recently graduated, I carry with me a number of experiences in-class and abroad that I will bring into our classroom to build an authentic, meaningful learning experience for everyone.
Communication: My students’ learning is my top priority, and I will do everything I can to ensure everyone has what they need to be successful in our class.
*Students, please come to me before/after school for any questions or concerns---I want to help you in any way I can!
In class we will be using Google Classroom as a way to turn in assignments, access online materials, and stay connected with reminders and due dates. Our classroom site will be a great way to access classwork and practice assignments if you miss class.
My family and I visiting my host parents in Alicante, Spain this past summer.
*Parents, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns about your son or daughter’s progress in class. Please email me at ahalbu1@isd77.k12.mn.us
I am also available to talk over the phone or in person, and welcome the opportunity to set up a time that works best for you.
I will post and update grades frequently on infinite campus. I will also send a brief overview via infinite campus every 2-3 weeks, sharing the essential question/topic we are working on, upcoming assessments/projects, and any other announcements.
