Advanced Placement United States Politics and Government
Advanced Placement U.S. Government and Politics is a college level course for high school students. The College Board national test for U.S. Government and Politics is given in May. Students are able to receive college credits for the course based on the national test score. Check with the college/university you plan to attend to find out their policy on advanced placement courses.
This course is taught to examine and analyze our basic governmental institutions of Courts, Presidency, Bureaucracy, and Congress and related processes including but not limited to elections, political participation, role of the media, and freedoms inherent in the Bill of Rights.
